It has been almost two-and-a-half years since 19-year-old Maple Batalia was gunned down in Surrey.
Now her ex-boyfriend has been ordered to stand trial.
In September 2011, Batalia was shot in the parkade outside Simon Fraser University’s Surrey campus in Central City after a late night study session with friends.
The aspiring model and actress later died in hospital.
Her ex-boyfriend, Gurginder Dhaliwal and co-accused Gursimar Singh Bedi, were charged in December 2012. Dhaliwal faces first-degree murder and Bedi will be tried for manslaughter.
The next court date is in April.
