ARMSTRONG – Police have determined the cause of last week’s crash in Armstrong where a pick up truck smashed into The Source electronics store.
Unfamiliarity with an artificial leg is to blame.
“Due to a medical condition in the last couple of months, he had to receive a prosthetic leg,” says Vernon RCMP spokesman, Gord Molendyk.
There were four people inside the store when the truck smashed right into the interior through the front window but no one was hurt.
Police have ticketed the driver with driving without due care and attention.
Molendyk says the man will also have to be retested for his driver’s licence to ensure it’s safe for him to be behind the wheel.
