Promo for Rob Ford’s YouTube show Ford Nation released

TORONTO – A promo video for Rob Ford’s new show, Ford Nation, has appeared on YouTube.

The 30 second clip features the mayor along with his councillor brother, Doug Ford, in front of a photo of the Toronto skyline with Ford Nation printed in capital letters spanning the city.

The trailer hits on some of the Fords’ key messages, from returning phone calls to trying to stop the ‘gravy train.’

“You’ve pulled their hands out of the cookie jar and when you do that folks, they’re coming looking for you,” Doug says in the video.

“I don’t ask people on the phone, are you Conservative, NDP or Liberal before I help them,” Rob says. “I just go out and help these people out.”

The video finishes with the mayor making the same plea he has since November when he admitted to smoking crack and buying drugs while in office, which is for people not to judge on the things he does outside of the office.

“Please judge me on my record, not my personal life,” he said.

The show premieres, on YouTube, February 10.

The YouTube show marks the mayor’s third attempt at navigating an on-air soapbox. He first hosted The City along with his brother on Newstalk 1010 before that was cancelled in November. The two then hosted one episode of a show, also called, Ford Nation on Sun News Network later in November.  It too was axed.
