HALIFAX – A man who pleaded guilty to killing a maintenance worker during a violent robbery at a McDonald’s in Cape Breton has been granted day parole after serving almost 19 years in prison.
The National Parole Board says Darren Richard Muise will be released from prison, but he must reside at a federally regulated halfway house on weekdays for the next six months.
