School bus cancellations and public transportation delays for Feb. 5

WATCH: The Wednesday, February 5, 2014 weather forecast for Toronto, Ontario and the surrounding area.

TORONTO – The snowfall in the Greater Toronto Area has resulted in several school bus cancellations or delays Wednesday morning.

Environment Canada says the snow will end just in the late with a total accumulation of 10 centimeters.

Toronto’s high will be -5 degrees Celsius with a low tonight of -13.

Below is a list of delays and cancellations:

School bus:

Peel District School Board: School bus service in Brampton, Caledon & Mississauga CANCELLED but schools remain open.

Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board: All buses are CANCELLED due to road and weather conditions. Schools are open. All school taxis and buses in Dufferin County will not be operating as well.

York Region District School Board: School bus and taxi service CANCELLED but schools remain open.

Halton District and Catholic School Boards: School bus service CANCELLED but schools remain open.

Durham District and the Durham Catholic School Boards: Buses CANCELLED North of Hwy. #7.  Schools remain open.

Toronto District School Board: No bus cancellations today and all schools remain open. Expect some delays.

Toronto Catholic District School Board: No bus cancellations today and all schools remain open. Expect some delays.

Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board: No bus cancellations today and all schools remain open.

Niagara Catholic District School Board: No bus cancellations and all schools remain open.

TTC:

No major service disruptions but expect some delays on streetcars due to the weather.

GO Transit:

GO Bus service experiencing delays up to 45 minutes on some routes.

GO Train service is running normally.

Passengers are advised to leave extra time for their commute with possible rail service delays due to the weather.

Pearson International Airport:

As of 7:00 a.m., 184 flights have been cancelled. Passengers are reminded to check with their airline before arriving at the airport.
