TORONTO – Toronto Police are investigating the death of a young girl found in a Howard Johnson hotel room in the Warden Ave. and Highway 401 area of Scarborough Monday night.
Police say a young girl was taken to hospital where she later died. A cause of death has not been released but a post-mortem examination is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
Police were originally called to a residence in Scarborough just after 4 p.m. when they were led to the hotel.
A man and a boy were also found inside the hotel room. They were transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The homicide unit is currently investigating and no charges have been filed.
