Sport: Long Track Speed Skating

Age: 28

Hometown: Winnipeg, Man.

Accomplishments:

  • Two-time Team Pursuit World Champion.
  • Two-time Team Pursuit Silver Medallist.

Interesting Fact: Was officially on the Canadian team in Turin 2006 as an alternate but did not get to compete.

Chances: In Vancouver, Schussler was part of Canada’s top-ranked Team Pursuit trio, along with Christine Nesbitt and Kristina Groves. They were upset by the United States in the first round of competition. With Groves retiring, the Team Pursuit team took a hit but is still considered a potential medal contender.
