PICTOU, N.S. – More girlfriends of the man accused of killing Amber Kirwan are expected to testify at his murder trial in Pictou on Friday.

Earlier this week, the court heard that Christopher Falconer had four girlfriends in the fall of 2011 when Kirwan went missing. One of them, Jerricka Ebrahim, has already testified.

Falconer is facing a charge of first-degree murder in Kirwan’s death.

On Thursday, an RCMP forensic expert testifying Facloner’s trial said Kirwan’s DNA and that of the accused were found on a piece of clothing recovered during the police investigation.

Thomas Suzanski said it was the only piece of evidence that showed DNA from both Kirwan and Falconer, who is facing a charge of first-degree murder.

Kirwan was last seen leaving a pool hall in downtown New Glasgow in the early hours of Oct. 9, 2011.

Her naked, bound remains were found about a month later in a shallow grave in nearby Heathbell.

Earlier in the trial, police officers testified that the item of clothing in question, a tank top, was found inside a bag on the back seat of Falconer’s car.

Witnesses who knew Falconer testified that he was often seen wearing similar, dark-coloured tank tops.
