WATERLOO, Ont. – BlackBerry Ltd. (TSX:BB) has hired a senior executive from SAP, the German global software giant, as president of global sales for the smartphone company.
BlackBerry chairman and CEO John Chen, who has made sweeping changes to the the company’s senior ranks in recent weeks, says he has worked previously with Eric Johnson. Both men worked previously at Sybase, which Chen turned around and grew before its sale to SAP for US$5.8 billion in 2010.
