Surrey RCMP are looking for a man involved in a sexual assault on Sunday, Jan. 5.
Police say between 5 and 6 p.m. a 25-year-old Surrey woman was physically and sexually assaulted in the Fleetwood Park area in the 15700-block of 80 Avenue while walking home from a local restaurant.
The male suspect initially approached the victim on the sidewalk near the intersection of 158 Street and 80 Avenue. He then took her to a nearby baseball field in Fleetwood Park where he sexually assaulted her.
Police say the suspect is described as a “pale skinned male”, 25 to 35 years old, 6’ tall, with a gaunt face, deep set facial features, prominent high cheekbones and no facial hair. He was wearing black soccer style track pants, possibly Adidas brand, with white stripes running down the outside of the left leg. He was also wearing a baggy, oversized dark (possibly navy colored) hoodie and black sneakers with white soles.
Police say this is believed to be an isolated incident at this time.
Surrey RCMP are looking for any information that may help to identify the suspect.
