UPDATE: Search continues for missing Prince Rupert man, dive team unable to find his vehicle

UPDATE: The RCMP Dive Team was in the water today searching for the vehicle belonging to Adam Moore.  They were unable to locate the vehicle, and will be resuming the search tomorrow morning.

26-year-old Adam Moore has not been seen since Dec. 29, 2013.

A dive team will be in the waters around Prince Rupert Tuesday morning as the search continues for the missing man.

Police say pieces of the 26-year-old’s car were found near the Galloway Rapids Bridge, about 10 minutes away from Port Edward, on Sunday.

The search resumed at 9 a.m. today with Search and Rescue from Terrace and members of the RCMP. They are using underwater cameras to look for Adam’s car.

Adam was reported missing on New Year’s Eve.

The person who reported Adam missing said they had last seen him on the evening of Dec. 28 and advised that Adam had been suffering from possible symptoms of depression.

Police then discovered he had been spotted in the area of the local 7-11 in Prince Rupert at about 3:15 a.m. on Dec. 29. Additional inquiries determined he may have driven to Terrace, but police were unable to verify this information.

Adam is described as:

  • 6 feet tall (slim build)
  • 176 pounds
  • Short Brown Hair
  • Brown Eyes
