It’s been an extraordinary few months for Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the Conservative caucus as they battle a snowballing Senate scandal.

Despite some policy breakthroughs, it’s been a while since they’ve had a good day in Parliament.

The scandal has provided no shortage of fuel for the opposition parties to grill Harper—how much did the prime minister know about the now infamous $90,000 cheque from his former chief of staff to a sitting senator? Was he aware the Conservative party was prepared to pay the senator’s questionable expenses when the sum was thought to be less? How does he feel knowing some of his closest advisers were trying to influence an independent audit?
