Lawyers seek class action over initial COVID-19 response in Quebec long-term care homes

A Quebec court judge is being asked to authorize a class action lawsuit against long-term public care homes over COVID-19. The lawsuit argues the government improvised its response to the pandemic. It argues the government had a pre-existing pandemic plan in place, but ignored it, leading to dire consequences. Global’s Amanda Jelowicki reports.
