A Peterborough Police cruiser was involved in a two vehicle accident on Charlotte Street overnight.
Emergency crews responded to reports of a T-bone collision at Charlotte and Rubidge Streets just after midnight.
An officer was taken to hospital with minor injuries and later released.
The driver of the SUV was charged with failing to stop at a red light.
