Motorists were faced with a major detour off the Champlain Bridge Friday morning after a heavy truck caught fire and scorched a section of the REM train track. Part of Highway 15 near Nuns Island was closed off following the incident and inspections carried out on the rails. As Global’s Elizabeth Zogalis reports, it’s good reminder that public transit this weekend might be the best bet to get around.
