Overnight the Okanagan Indian Band near Vernon placed part of Parker Cove subdivision on evacuation order. An adjacent creek has breached its banks and water is running through many properties. Residents of the area, located on the northwest side of Okanagan Lake, have banded together to try to protect homes and property.
