Veterans Affairs Minister Lawrence MacAulay said on Thursday that the RCMP had been contacted after two additional cases had been reported of a Veterans Affairs employee speaking with vets about medical assistance in dying. He said it brought the number of cases to four and all involved a single employee, whose actions MacAulay called “simply disgusting.” He added an apology to veterans saying that any discussion of such a process to veterans seeking care was “totally unacceptable.”
