Man at Jackson Park in Peterborough detained under Mental Health Act

Peterborough police say a man was detained under the Mental Health Act following an incident Tuesday at Jackson Park.
Officers responded to reports of a man in distress. They found a man with a knife and blowtorch.
They also learned he was wanted on a warrant for domestic-related incidents including assault.
Police say around 4:30 p.m. he was detained under the Mental Health Act.
