Saskatchewan Minister for Child Services Gene Makowsky spoke on Monday revision to Saskatchewan’s child welfare legislation titled the Child and Family Services Amendment Act, 2022. The amendments were proposed by youth with lived experience and include flexibility of information sharing, raising the age for children protective services and enhancing connections for children and youth.
