Officers with the Winnipeg Police Service responded to reports of a shooting that occurred early Saturday at the 400 block of William Avenue. At the scene, police applied emergency medical care to the shooting victim, but were unable to save the 23-year-old woman, identified as Delany Nora Desmarais.
