Laura Walton, the representative for the Ontario School Board Council of Unions (OSBCU), slammed Ontario Education Minister Stephen Lecce on Wednesday for suggesting that the Ford government will act if education workers strike. “Strikes are not imposed on children. And this divisive narrative that this minister continues to do is really what is detrimental,” she said. Walton added that “it is the minister who insists on using our children as pawns.”
