One hundred years ago an Ontario doctor blew the whistle about the atrocities of residential schools, calling them “a national crime.” Dr. Peter Bryce was ignored with years of dismissals from the department of Indian Affairs. Now, he’s being honoured at the Ottawa publishing house that released his work. Abigail Bimman reports.
