Port Hope Police are investigating a stabbing that happened late Saturday night in the area of Ward etalStreet and Mill Street North.
According to police, an altercation between two men left one with stab wounds.
The victim was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
A 24-year-old Bowmanville man matching the description of the suspect was later found and arrested.
The man is facing charges of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
Police say this was a random attack, and there is no threat to public safety.
