Speaking about propping up the Liberals in federal government, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said on Wednesday that his party’s health-care policies and his infant daughter’s name go hand-in-hand. He said her name, Anhad, translates to “limitless” and added he wants her to believe her future is limitless, along with other Canadians across the nation. “In a lot of ways, the agreement [with the Liberals] is inspired by this idea that what we want for our daughter is what we want for all kids – in fact, what we want for all people to live a limitless future, not limited by the cost of medication and not being able to afford it,” Singh said.
