Jeff Wharton, provincial Minister of Environment, Climate and Parks, announced Friday at Assiniboine Park that the province will be contributing $970,000 on recreational trails in Manitoba. More than 2,000 Manitobans responded passionately to an EngageMB survey about recreational trails. The successful applications for the program support 30 projects, including the development of new trails as well as maintenance, enhancements and amenities for existing trails.
