On the western swing of his trip to Canada, Pope Francis delivered an open-air mass to parishioners gathered at Edmonton’s Commonwealth Stadium on Tuesday. “Today, we celebrate the feast of the grandparents of Jesus,” the pontiff said as he began his homily. The Pope is in Canada as part of an apology tour for the role the Catholic church played in the residential schools’ tragedy.
