Peterborough north-end house fire displaces 5, injures firefighter

Five people were displaced and a firefighter was injured following a house fire in Peterborough’s north end on Tuesday night.
Fire crews responded around 8 p.m. to a house fire on Billington Close. They located fire in the rear of the home and several vehicles were on fire.
All occupants were out before crews arrived. Peterborough Fire Services say one firefighter sustained a minor injury but has returned to duty.
The fire also damaged five nearby homes.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
