Sen. Yvonne Boyer said Thursday, during an announcement unveiling the Senate Committee on Human Rights’ report on forced or coerced sterilization, that there have been no clear consequences for those performing forced or coerced tubal ligations. Boyer said the practice is still going on in Canadian hospitals, telling reporters: “I believe there are sterilizations happening today as we speak.”
