Nova Scotians are no longer mandated to stay home if they test positive for COVID-19 — and there’s growing concern over what that can mean for workers without paid sick days. As the cost of just about everything goes up, it can be difficult for employees to choose to stay home if it means losing pay. As Alicia Draus reports, with COVID supports all expired, there are renewed calls for government to implement a permanent paid sick leave program.
