Searches last year for unmarked graves near a former residential school site in Nova Scotia didn’t find anything, but those searches are being extended this year with more than $300,000 in funding from the federal government. The money will also be used to support Mi’kmaw-led initiatives aimed at helping survivors and families find closure. Alexa MacLean has the details.
