Pandemic’s 6th wave sparks increase in pediatric hospitalizations in Montreal

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise, Montreal’s pediatric hospitals are seeing an increase in admissions. However, officials say the sixth wave is presenting different types of children with COVID-19, in many cases they are hospitalized for another reason and the virus is detected after. As Global’s Olivia O’Malley reports, experts warn that vulnerable people who come in frequent contact with school-aged children must take all precautions.
