Madeleine Albright, first U.S. female secretary of state, dies at 84

Madeleine Albright, the first woman to serve as U.S. secretary of state, died Wednesday at the age of 84. She served as the nation’s top diplomat during the Bill Clinton administration. Her family said in a statement that the cause of her death was cancer.
