Average hydro bill in Ontario rose 4.3 per cent between 2018 and 2021, FAO report finds

It was a key election promise in 2018: Then-candidate Doug Ford said the Hydro rate in Ontario would drop 12 per cent if his government was elected. But, as Seán O’Shea reports, a new report from Ontario’s Financial Accountability Office has found the average bill rose 4.3 per cent between 2018 and 2021.
