Niagara Regional Police confirmed on Saturday they closed a portion of the Queen Elizabeth Highway (QEW) near Fort Erie as a convoy of protesters made its way towards the Peace Bridge. Police said protesters obstructed some lanes of the Toronto bound QEW. No charges have been laid as a result of the protest, police said.
