Ottawa police on Thursday provided an update on their ongoing enforcement measures against trucker protests demonstrating against COVID-19 vaccine mandates throughout parts of the city. Police reported a “concerted effort” to tie up 911 phone lines on Thursday and chief Peter Sloly said a “significant” amount of those calls came from the U.S., but not all of them exclusively.
