Quebec Premier François Legault thanked Dr. Horacio Arruda on Tuesday for the work he had done in the role of public health director after he had submitted his resignation on Monday. Asked if he stood by the advice Arruda had given and why he wouldn’t keep him on, Legault said he did stand by with the former director’s guidance, but said there were advantages to having someone “new after 22 months.”
