Nova Scotia has announced most public schools will begin their holiday break at the end of day Dec. 17 — two days earlier than scheduled. Education Minister Becky Druhan said the decision was made because of the “operational impacts” from the Omicron COVID-19 variant and the need for close contacts to self-isolate.
