Fire officials say one person is dead following a mobile home fire at Joy Vista Estates just north of Lindsay early Thursday.
Emergency crews around 1:30 a.m. were called to a house fire on Park St. in the community.
Kawartha Lakes Fire Rescue acting fire chief says one person was removed the home and transported to hospital where they were pronounced deceased.
The Office of the Ontario FIre Marshal has been contacted to assist in the investigation into the cause of the fire.
