California teacher placed on leave after student films her dancing in Native American headgear

A video posted to Instagram appears to show a southern California teacher wearing Native American headgear dancing around her classroom while class is in session, repeatedly chanting “SohCahToa,” a mnemonic device often used to help students remember the trigonometry ratios of sine, cosine and tangent. The teacher has since been placed on leave over the controversial video, which showed behaviour that the school district called “completely unacceptable.”
