Southern India heavy rains cause major flooding, at least 15 dead

Floods triggered by heavy rains have led to loss of life and property in India’s southern Kerala state, and brought normal life to a halt. At least 15 deaths were reported in the worst-affected districts of Kottayam and Idukki by floods and landslides, according to reports.
