Canada’s chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam said on Friday that the country is seeing a daily average of 2,200 people hospitalized due to COVID-19 and of those, about 700 are in intensive care units. She added that there’s an average of 36 deaths a day due to COVID-19 infections.
