Two people were taken to hospital following a chain-reaction collision on Hwy. 401 near Port Hope Thursday morning. Emergency crews responded to the eastbound lanes for a single vehicle crash around 7 a.m. Then while at the scene, seven other vehicles were involved in a collision, including transport trucks, one of which crashed through a barrier. OPP charged a transport truck driver with careless driving.
