Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau, when asked why he did not authorize the Clerk of the Privy Council to hand over all cabinet documents related to SNC-Lavalin to the RCMP, said that “these were discussions that were fully had” two years ago before the 2019 election and said they were “fully litigated” before that vote. He added he’s been hearing from Canadians that their preoccupations are about the pandemic and “moving forward.”
