According to OPP, the vehicle was connected to two incidents of thefts of catalytic converters from vehicles on Aug. 31 and Sept. 2 at a business parking lot in Otonabee-South Monaghan Township.

On Wednesday morning officers located the vehicle but it’s alleged it fled at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was later seen in Northumberland County but escaped officers by ramming a police cruiser.

OPP say later the vehicle was found in a ditch along Hannah Road near Bailieboro. No injuries were reported.
