Public safety minister tells tourists to avoid travel to areas of B.C. Interior due to fire danger

Speaking at a B.C. wildfire briefing Friday, Public Safety Minister Mike Farnworth asked tourists to avoid non-essential travel to areas of the B.C. Interior due to the heightened threat of fire. Officials said the next 72 hours will be critical, and that the province is preparing for more evacuation orders and alerts.
