Peterborough police cruiser damaged in collision on Parkhill Road West

A Peterborough Police Service cruiser was damaged following an incident on Saturday night.

Around 9:15 p.m. emergency crews were called to Parkhill Road West near Stormont Street.

Police have yet to release details on the incident that saw a cruiser on the north side of the road sustain front-end damage. Other vehicles on the south side were partially up on the sidewalk.

One of the vehicles also reportedly struck a tree.

At least one person was treated at the scene and taken to hospital, it is not clear at this time if it was an officer or a person from the other vehicle.

The section of roadway was closed until 1:25 p.m. Sunday. No details have been released.
