Health Minister Patty Hajdu announced on Monday that Canada would allow fully-vaccinated American travellers to visit Canada for non-essential travel without having to quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic, starting Aug. 9. Fully-vaccinated individuals from all other countries will be allowed to enter Canada without quarantine starting Sept. 7. She also announced children under 12 will not have to quarantine but are advised to avoid group gatherings for 14 days.
