Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister commented on Wednesday on the toppling of two Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria statues by protesters on Canada Day, following the discoveries of unmarked graves at residential school sites. “We all understand and we should understand that tearing down is a lot simpler than building up, but building up is what we have to dedicate ourselves to,” he said.
