Crown-Indigenous Relations Minister Carolyn Bennett and Indigenous Services Minister Marc Miller said Wednesday that Canada Day is a time for “reflection” as several municipalities across the country have cancelled festivities after the remains of 215 children were found at a former residential school in Kamloops, B.C. Bennett added that she would mark the day wearing an orange shirt in solidarity with Indigenous peoples.
