Canada’s Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade Mary Ng spoke at a press conference on Tuesday following two days of virtual meetings regarding North American trade and the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), stating she spoke with Mexico and U.S. representatives about next steps in strengthening and rebuilding the economy. These meetings were also “historic” because they’re the first-ever to have three women representing North America’s trade relationship, she said.
